Standalone Analytics Pipeline

Limitation The user must redeploy any standalone analytics pipeline instances that are deployed already, while switching database configuration from an internal embedded database to an external PostgreSQL database and vice versa. The following section describes this limitation.

Torch can be installed in the following two ways:

1. Complete installation: On complete installation, all components of Torch is installed.
2. Only Analytics Pipeline: Only a single component of Torch is installed. The installation of other components can be scaled later on.

Database Configuration

Whenever Torch is deployed, the internal embedded database is used to store data. The user can also switch to an external database to store the data.

An external PostgreSQL database, managed by the user can be used to store data.

Limitation

Whenever you switch database configuration from an internal embedded database to an external PostgreSQL database, you must redeploy any standalone analytics pipeline instances that are deployed already.
