This page describes installing Kudu using the Ambari Mpack.
Steps to Install
- Download the Kudu Mpack from the Apache Kudu Package.
- SCP the mpack to the Ambari Server.
- Run the following commands to install it.

ambari-server install-mpack --mpack=ambari-mpacks-kudu-1.17.tar.gz -vambari-server restartLog in to the Ambari UI and add the Kudu service.
Select the hosts for Kudu Masters and Tablet Servers.
- You must select at least one of each, with a recommended maximum of up to 100 tablet servers.
- You must select an odd number for a minimum of 3 master servers.
