Supported Pulse Upgrade Path
This page describes the supported upgrade paths for Pulse. Follow these guidelines to upgrade Pulse to the latest version.
Pulse supports direct upgrades from N-2 to N, where:
N = the latest Pulse version
N-1 = one version before the latest
N-2 = two versions before the latest
Generic Upgrade Rule
Identify the latest Pulse version (N).
Check your current Pulse version:
If it is N-1 or N-2 → upgrade directly to N.
If it is N-3 or earlier → upgrade first to a version within N-2 or N-1, then proceed to N.
Upgrade Path Examples
When the latest Pulse version is 4.0.x (N):
Direct upgrade supported from 3.8.x (N-1) and 3.7.x (N-2).
Step upgrade required if you are on 3.6.x or earlier.
When the latest Pulse version is 3.8.x (N):
Direct upgrade supported from 3.7.x (N-1) and 3.6.x (N-2).
Step upgrade required if you are on 3.5.x or earlier.
When the latest Pulse version was 3.7.x (N):
Direct upgrade supported from: 3.6.x (N-1) and 3.5.x (N-2).
Step upgrade required if you are on 3.4.x or earlier.
