Access Visualizer
The Access Visualizer provides administrators and end-users a simplified and intuitive graphical representation of entity permissions within the ADOC environment. This feature allows users to visually explore the relationships between users, user groups, tenant roles, domain roles, domains, and resource groups.
Prerequisites and Permissions
To access the Access Visualizer, ensure the following permission is met. Your user account must have at least the View permission enabled under the User Management section, through any assigned Tenant Role.
If your account lacks the required view permission, the Access Visualizer option will not be visible.
Accessing the Visualizer
To use the Access Visualizer:
- Navigate to the Settings page.
- Under the User Management and Access section, click Access Visualizer

Visualizing Permissions
Example: User Entity
In the following example, selecting a user (e.g., "Pulse Cloud") displays relationships to assigned tenant roles and user groups:
- Solid lines labeled is assigned indicate direct assignments.
- Solid lines labeled belongs to indicate membership in user groups.

Clicking any node highlights the path from the selected user to the connected roles or groups. Hovering or clicking nodes highlights specific paths clearly.

Example: Domain Entity
When visualizing a domain, the diagram displays:
- User groups that have access to the domain.
- Domain roles assigned to user groups.
- Resource groups contained within the domain.
Clicking a node (user group or domain role) highlights specific access relationships clearly, simplifying debugging and configuration validation.

Interacting with the Visualizer
- Zoom and Pan: You can zoom in and out or pan across the diagram for clarity.
- Direct URL Access: The current visualization state is persisted in the URL. You can copy and share this URL to provide direct access to the specific visualization state.

- Quickly identify why a user or group has or does not have access to certain resources.
- Validate access configurations visually before and after changes.
- Debug complex role and permission setups by clearly tracing access paths.
