Recommendations

The Recommendations page displays the list of all the recommendations provided to you as a user by ADOC. The recommendations are applicable for Snowflake and Databricks data sources.
To access the Recommendations page: Navigate to Compute > Recommendations.
You can also view recommendations by navigating to the Home page and clicking on the Recommendations tab on the left.
Recommendations will now expire when they are no longer useful. This will help you keep your recommendations up-to-date and avoid clutter. It will also ensure that you receive only the most useful and relevant recommendations.
Groupings
The Recommendations page now provides recommendations based on Data source Name groups.

Clicking on the > button will now display the related data sources and other inputs in a tabular form.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Monitor Name | The name of the monitor for the data source. |
Datasource Name | The name of the datasource is displayed. |
Total | The total number of clusters added is displayed. |
Last Evaluation | The date of the most recent appraisal of the items specified is displayed. |
Clicking on the Datasource Name now leads you to the Recommendation Details page.
Recommendation Details
Recommendation Details represents all details of the recommendation in a tabular format.

Field | Descriptions |

Datasource Name | The name of the datasource. |
Monitor Name | The specific monitor within the data source that triggered the recommendation. |
Warehouse Name | The specific warehouse tied to the recommendation. |
Recommended Warehouse Size | Suggests the optimal size for the warehouse based on current usage and performance metrics. |
Annual Potential Savings | Displays an estimate of the potential cost savings associated with implementing the recommendation, providing a clear financial incentive for action. |
Last Evaluated | The date of the most recent appraisal of the items specified is displayed. |
Action Button | A direct action button is provided to implement the recommendation quickly and efficiently. Clicking this button allows you to apply the suggested change immediately. |
The toggle button will be turned on by default to see all active clusters; you can turn it off to view all dormant clusters.

The Recommendations View includes a CSV export feature, enabling you to download filtered recommendations directly. This functionality allows for improved data analysis and seamless sharing of recommendations in a structured format.

Filters
You can now filter the recommendations based on Datasource Type or Datasource.

Datasource Type: Upon selecting this filter, you can choose from a variety of data source types, including Snowflake and Databricks, within the provided list. You also have the option to search for specific data source types and apply the selected filter accordingly.
