🔗 New Integrations for Modern Data Workloads

The stack is now extended with powerful integrations to meet advanced analytics and real-time processing needs:

  • JupyterHub (v5.2.1): Centralized access to multi-user Jupyter notebooks for collaborative data science and documentation. For details about the setup, see Jupyterhub.
  • Apache Kudu (v1.17.0): Real-time analytics on mutable datasets with a robust distributed storage engine. For details about the setup, see Kudu.
  • Apache Pinot (v1.3.0): Ultra-low latency OLAP store optimized for real-time dashboards and streaming analytics. For details about the setup, see Pinot.
  • Trino (v472): Fast, distributed SQL query engine ideal for federated analytics across diverse data sources. For details about the setup, see Trino.

⬆️ Component Upgrades for Performance & Stability

This release includes an Upgrade of Components from the previous version:

  • Apache HBase upgraded from 2.5.8 ➝ 2.6.2
  • Apache Ozone upgraded from 1.4.0 ➝ 1.4.1

🛢️ Oracle DB Support Update: Introducing 19c

This release supports the Oracle DB 19c. The support for Oracle DB 12c has been discontinued.

🔄 Migrating Oozie Workflows to Airflow DAGs (O2A)

This release enables you to migrate Oozie workflows to Airflow Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs). For more information, see Migrating Oozie Workflows to Airflow DAGs (O2A).

🔄 Migration to systemd for Ambari Service Management

This release includes the migration of Ambari from SysV-style scripts to full systemd (systemctl) support for managing services.

  • You must now consistently use the ambari-agent/server or systemctl commands. Mixing them (e.g., service ambari-agent start with ambari-agent stop) is no longer allowed.
  • To switch between command types, stop the service using the same method it was started with before starting it again using the new method. For example:
Bash
Copy

The same rule applies to Ambari Server as well. Always use a consistent method (ambari-server or systemctl) to start and stop services.
