ODP Stack Upgrade

This page describes the details of the ODP stack rolling and express upgrade.

1. Run Service Checks for Components
   1. Ensure that you run service checks for all installed stack services by navigating to Actions > Service Check in the UI Ambari UI.

Similarly, run the service check for the services. Ensure that all run successfully.

For example, the success status must be shown as follows.

2. Disable Service Auto-Start

3. Create and Update the VDF File.

   1. Create a local VDF file with the odp_32352_ vdf.xml file.

4. Navigate to Versions > Register Version

4. Upload the VDF file to register the upgraded ODP version.

5. Install the ODP Packages

Steps

1. In the Ambari UI, navigate to the Admin -> Versions page and click Upgrade.

2. Upon selecting the Upgrade option:
   1. The Rolling and Express options appear on the screen.
   2. Select Rolling/Express and click Proceed.

3. Pause the upgrade before accepting perform backups.
