Ensure you have the following files, configurations, and values ready before configuring Pulse to monitor a cluster:
Kerberos Files (required if the cluster is Kerberized):
krb5.conffilekerberos.keytabfile with HDFS-level permissions.- The associated principal must be allowed in Ranger policies for all the services you intend to monitor.
CA Certificates:
- Hadoop CA certificates if the Hadoop services use SSL
- Pulse Log Store (ElasticSearch) CA certificates to enable secure communication between ElasticSearch nodes.
Cluster Name:
- The name of the cluster you want Pulse to observe and monitor
