Install Agents Using the Offline Method (without SSH access)

This page describes installing Pulse Hydra Agent. If you do not have SSH access to the cluster nodes, contact the Acceldata Support Team for offline Hydra agent packages (RPM or DEB) that you can install on all the cluster nodes with the preferred configuration management tool of your choice.

Install Agent(s)

Download and upload the Hystaller binary on the mentioned node from the provided link and credentials.
Place hystaller on /tmp directory and follow the steps below for the command sequences, replacing <PULSE_HOSTNAME> with the hostname running Pulse UI (main server).

SSH to the main Pulse server running UI and run the following command to sync the configuration from the Pulse server to the new node.

accelo reconfig cluster

Uninstall Agent(s)

Using the same hystaller agent can be uninstalled

/tmp/hystaller uninstall

Verify the Installation

On each cluster node, verify that all required services are running.

systemctl status hydra systemctl status pulsenode systemctl status pulsejmx systemctl status pulselogs systemctl status pulseaxn

After all services are running successfully, the nodes begin reporting to Pulse. Verify this by navigating to the Nodes page in the Pulse UI and confirming that metrics are being populated.
