Enhancements

• Metric Search Configuration: This release introduces the METRIC_SEARCH_ENABLED configuration to indicate whether the Metric Search container is deployed. This configuration prevents unnecessary network calls to Metric Search when the container isn't deployed. For details, see Enable Metric Search.

Resolved Issues

• Resolved an issue where Metric Search was triggered during Dashplot visualization creation even when the required container was unavailable. Metric Search is now called only when the container is running.

• Resolved issues where HDFS usage displayed incorrect information and HBase Region Stats dashboards failed to load after upgrading to Pulse 4.1.2. The fixes ensure accurate HDFS usage reporting and proper HBase dashboard data visualization.

• Resolved an issue where the Pulse Auditing page incorrectly reported Hydra agents as down after an upgrade, even when the agents were running. The fix ensures that the correct Hydra agent state and count are displayed.

• Pulse resolves an issue where Slack notifications were not sent for canary actions. With this fix, Slack notifications work for canary actions.

  • Pulse resolves an issue where Slack notifications were not sent for “yarn kill“ and “hdfs top 10“ actions when their execution status is failed. With this fix, action Slack notifications work for “yarn kill“ and “hdfs top 10“ actions when they fail.

  • To apply these fixes, upgrade to Pulse 4.1.6 and re-tag the ad-axnserver and ad-notifications containers with the 4.1.6 images.
