This page describes the common cluster configuration changes needed for Pulse to collect metrics and display job data. These changes include:
- Configuring HDFS access so that Pulse can query the NameNode API.
- Updating MapReduce and YARN Access Control Lists (ACLs) so jobs appear in Pulse UI > YARN > Application Explorer.
- Granting access privileges for non-HDFS users to view job or log information.
- Granting MySQL permissions for accessing Hive and Oozie metadata.
For detailed steps, see:
- Configure HDFS Access for Pulse
- Configure MapReduce and YARN ACLs for Pulse
- Configure Access Privileges for Non-HDFS Users
- Grant MySQL Permissions
