Configure Extra Hosts

This page describes how to configure extra hosts used in the Pulse deployment that are not managed within Kubernetes.

The Pulse database services run on virtual machines (VMs) outside the Kubernetes cluster. These external database hosts must be connected to Pulse so the platform can:

Process and analyze data
Enable service-to-service communication
Display metrics and insights in the Pulse UI

You can add these external hosts (for example, database hosts) directly from the Pulse Admin UI.

Steps

In the Pulse Admin UI, go to the top-right corner and click Admin ▸ Hosts.
On the Hosts page, add the IP address and host name of each database server.
Click + Add to include multiple IP addresses and host names as needed.
