Configure a Webhook

Use this page to enable, disable, and manage the Optimizer admission webhook settings for automated node optimization from the Pulse UI.

Steps

  1. In the Pulse UI, go to Dashboard K8s.
  2. Select Saving Potential > Automated Node Optimization.
  3. Select Configure Webhook.

The Configure Optimizer Webhook panel opens.

From here, you can:

  1. Enable or disable mutation: This actually enables or disables the optimizer. This allows the new incoming pods to use the extended resources rather than relying on the classic cpu/memory requests.
  2. Enable or disable the optimization pod selector: This gives the user power to create a selector, and all the pods that follow this selector rule will be selected to use the extended resources. The rest of them will be untouched.
  3. Select Save Configuration.
