Pulse Core Services

Pulse Core services are essential services for data operations. They enable observability for various Hadoop services and ensure system functionality.

Acceldata uses basic authentication for internal communication among these services.

Pulse UI, Deployment, and Streaming

Service	Description	Port
ad-graphql	Acceldata UI service that powers the Pulse front-end application.	4000 / 4001
ad-streaming	Writes data to various databases and supports most Pulse services.	19005
ad-deployer	Deploys Agents to Hadoop clusters via Ansible. This service needs passwordless SSH from the Pulse Server.	Internal/SSH

Agent Management

Service	Description
Hydra Server	Communicates with Hydra Agent to synchronize all Pulse agents and their configuration using the vars.yml and override.yml files.

Alerts, Notifications, and Actions

The following Pulse Add-on services support alerting, notifications, and automated actions.

Service	Description
ad-alerts	Manages user-defined and system-generated alerts.
ad-notifications	Sends alert notifications to third-party systems such as Email, Slack, etc.
ad-actions	Executes automated tasks on Hadoop cluster nodes. (Port: 19999)

Dashplots

Service	Description
ad-dashplot	Enables creating custom charts and dashboards using Pulse data.

Facelift UI

This service consists of the following components and is responsible for deploying the new user interface with an updated user experience (UX).

Proxy

Service	Description
ad-proxy	Used to configure SSL/TLS-based proxy access for the Pulse UI.
