Configure Pulse to Connect to Hadoop Services via Knox with LDAP

This page describes how to configure Pulse to connect to Hadoop services that use Knox with LDAP authentication.

1. On a Pulse node, run the following command:

accelo config cluster

2. Enable Knox Integration: After entering the cluster type, name, password, URL, and other details, the CLI prompts whether Knox is enabled in your environment. Type y if Knox is enabled.

Is Knox enabled in cluster?: [y/n]

3. Provide Knox Configuration Details: If you select y, the CLI prompts for the following Knox details:

Enter knox gateway URL: 

Enter knox topology name: 

Enter knox username: 

Enter knox password:

4. Select Services with Knox Enabled: Choose the Hadoop services where Knox authentication is enabled.

5. Verify the Configuration: After completing the setup, verify that Knox integration details are saved correctly in the configuration file.
