Search Docs in Cursor Using MCP Server

Enable the MCP Server in the Cursor

  1. Launch Cursor
  2. Go to Settings → Cursor Settings
  3. Select Tools from the sidebar
  4. Click New MCP Server

This opens the MCP configuration file.

Configure MCP Servers

Add the following configuration to the file.

⚠️ Each MCP server must be defined separately (one URL per server).

MCP Server URL: Use the appropriate URL based on the product:

  1. Save the file.

Use MCP in Cursor

  1. Toggle the AI pane using ⌘ + I (macOS) or Ctrl + I (Windows/Linux)
  2. Ask the agent a question like "Search in Acceldata docs, how to create an alert".

Cursor will now query the configured MCP servers and return results directly in the AI panel.
