Known Limitations of Delta Lake

The following limitations apply to Delta Lake in ODP 3.3.6.5:

• Delta Uniform has limited support on Hive 4 clusters: Iceberg metadata isn't automatically generated. Use native Iceberg tables for workloads that require Iceberg readers.

• Spark 3.5.1 supports Delta Lake 3.2.1: Delta Lake 3.3.x isn't supported with Spark 3.5.1.

• Spark 3.3.3 supports Delta Lake 2.3.0: Delta Lake 3.x isn't supported with Spark 3.3.3.

• Delta-Hive integration requires the ODP-provided connector: The upstream Delta-Hive connector isn't compatible with Hive 4.1 in ODP 3.3.6.5.
