Pulse Audit

The Pulse Auditing capability provides charts and visualizations to help you monitor the Pulse and Agent statuses.

You can navigate to the icon in the top right menu bar and select Pulse Audit.

Pulse provides the following functionalities.

FunctionalityDescription
Global calendarUse the Global calendar icon to select a time period (For example, Today, Last 12 hours, Last 3 Months, etc.) or choose a custom time period and click Apply.
StepThis is an interval at which the time series dashboards or charts get updated. This gets set automatically when you set a time period. However, you can change and update it as needed.

The Agents Statistics tab

The Agents statistics tab provides the following charts.

Chart nameDescription
Host countThis displays the count of hosts for each Agent where the status is currently down.
Agent Status

Shows the status of each Agent installed on hosts.

You can use the filter option to:

  • Filter the nodes where the Agent status is down
  • Filter the nodes where the Agents are uninstalled.

The color coding indicates the following details:

  • Green: All Agents are up and running
  • Orange: Some Agents are down
  • Red: All Agents are either down or uninstalled.
  • Grey: The Agents were never installed.

The Pulse Statistics tab

Summary Panel

The summary panel displays the number of days the data will be retained for available data stores.

MongoDB RetentionShows the number of days the data is retained in MongoDB.
TSDB RetentionShows the number of days the data is retained in the Time Series Database (TSDB).
Elastic RetentionShows the number of days the data is retained in the Elastic database.

The Pulse Statistics tab provides the following charts.

Chart nameDescription
Page Login ActivityThis chart shows the count of successful and failed login activity for different users.
Popular PagesThis chart shows the most accessed or viewed pages of Pulse in descending order.
Page Load Times

This chart shows the average amount of time taken to load each page in descending order.

You can also click on Show Max time to check the maximum load time taken for the respective page.

Track Cleared Incidents (Alerts)

You can monitor cleared or closed incidents ( alerts) directly from the Pulse Audit page. The Cleared Alerts dashboard provides key details such as the alert name, timestamp, user who cleared it, and the reason for clearing.

Key Capabilities:

  • Search: Quickly find specific cleared alerts.
  • Group By: Organize alerts by Admin or other users.
  • Download: Export the list of cleared alerts for reporting or auditing.
  • Refresh: Update the dashboard to display the latest data.
  • Settings: Customize the columns to display relevant information
