Visualize Canary Test Performance Metrics
Pulse enables you to visualize Canary test performance metrics collected from HDFS, Hive, and Impala services. These visualizations help you monitor cluster health, identify performance bottlenecks, and track system trends over time.
When canary tests are configured and scheduled to run periodically (for example, as cron jobs), Pulse automatically collects metrics such as latency, throughput, error rates, etc., stores them in the Pulse database, and displays them in the UI dashboards for analysis.
Before You Begin
Before visualizing Canary test results, make sure you have set up and scheduled the Canary tests. For setup instructions, see Set up and Manage Canary Tests.
Visualize Canary Test Metrics
To access and review Canary performance metrics:
In the Pulse UI, go to Admin > Dashplot Studio.
On the Dashplots page, search for Canary.
Select the relevant visualization for HDFS, Hive, or Impala.
Review the performance charts to analyze key metrics and identify potential bottlenecks
