The Hue Hive Module isn't enabled by default.
Enable Hive integration
In the Ambari UI, go to the Hue configuration page.
Under HUE SERVICE MODULE, set Hue Hive Module to ON.
Save the configuration.

Customize the Hive configuration
If the automatically generated configuration doesn't meet your requirements:
In the Hue configuration page, go to Advanced services.
Modify the Hive configuration as required.
Ambari saves the generated Hive configuration to:
/etc/hue/conf/hive.ini
At runtime, Hue merges this configuration with the main hue.ini configuration.
You can add, modify, or remove properties from the generated configuration as required.
