Enable MongoDB Disk Usage

The MONGO_ALLOW_DISK_USE environment variable controls whether MongoDB can use temporary disk space when processing find and aggregation operations performed by the ad-pulse-ui service.

When enabled, the variable sets the MongoDB allowDiskUse parameter for these operations, allowing MongoDB to use temporary disk space when applicable in-memory limits are exceeded.

To enable MongoDB disk usage:

  1. Log in to the Pulse node.
  2. Navigate to the following directory:
$AcceloHome/config/docker/
  1. Check whether the ad-core.yml file exists. If the file does not exist, generate it by running:
accelo admin makeconfig ad-core.yml
  1. Open the ad-core.yml file.
  2. Locate the ad-pulse-ui service and navigate to the environment section.
  3. Add the following environment variable:
ad-pulse-ui:
  environment:
- MONGO_ALLOW_DISK_USE=true
  1. Save the changes.

Info

Enabling MONGO_ALLOW_DISK_USE allows MongoDB to use temporary disk space for supported find and aggregation operations when applicable in-memory limits are exceeded.
